Cast iron tactile plate – Corten finish

Cast iron tactile plate – Corten finish

General Description

Tactile paving slab designed to alert visually impaired individuals to hazardous areas (e.g., platform edges, stairs, crossings).

Visual aspect – Cast iron with a Corten-type patina effect

Designed in GL or GS cast iron, this plate combines robustness, longevity, and urban aesthetics thanks to a Corten-type stabilized rust effect surface treatment, with a protective varnish to fix the patina.

  • Controlled oxidized finish: Surface intentionally oxidized for a natural rusted look, sealed with a clear satin varnish.
  • Final appearance: Textured orange-brown material, soft and slightly rough, similar to Corten steel.
  • Advantage: Urban aesthetic, without rust runoff.
